Search Engine Optimization or SEO is the art and science of getting your web page to be prominently displayed in organic search engine results, commonly referred to as the SERPs. There are numerous factors that figure prominently in obtaining favorable search engine rankings. We will review some of the primary rankings used by search engine algorithms to rank content.
On-Page Factors
Most often a site that is designed with SEO in mind will have content that is optimized to rank for specific keywords. Usually, keyword research is performed prior to the design of the site to determine which keywords are both relevant to the market niche of the site and simultaneously get a reasonable amount of monthly researches.
The site must be created with clear and concise navigation and a reasonable load time. Original content must then created that does not show up anywhere else on the internet. This is one of the most important factors in getting favorable search engine rankings. Compelling, engaging, well-written and original content that incorporates images and embedded video is of the utmost importance.
The site must also be periodically updated with fresh content in order to maintain seach engine rankings. In general, older and larger sites, will rank better than new sites that do not have a lot of content.
In order for a new site to get search engine traffic, it is common practice to identify numerous long tail keywords that are not very competitive since it is unlikely that a site will rank well for high volume keywords that are highly competitive. By consistently creating content that is designed to rank for long tail keywords, a site can begin to build traffic and authority.
Links to Your Site
Getting other sites to link to your content has long been an important ranking factor, and this continues to be the case today. However, care must be taken in this linking strategy, since Google has really cracked down on sites that the perceive as using “unnatural” link building tactics. Certainly, under ideal circumstances, it is best to create such interesting and compelling content for your site, that site visitors are so enamored that they link to your content. Although, this does happen upon ocassion, in most instances it is still necessary to agressively create links to your site.
You can create links to your site by publishing articles, creating press releases and guest blogging on other sites that are relevant to your niche. There are numerous other ways to get good links to your site, but care must be taken if you choose to use of a paid link service, since Google has had a practice of de-indexing sites that use paid links.
Social Media Platforms
Another factor that figures prominently in the ranking of content on your site is the social media “buzz” that is associated with your site. Activity on social media platforms like Pinterest, Facebook, Google Plus, Twitter, LinkedIn and StumbleUpon will also serve to increase your rankings in the SERPs. In addition, you are likely to receive some traffic directly from social media sites.

Applying basic search engine optimization to your blog and blog posts can be crucial in contributing to the success of your blog. SEO is how people locate and find your site when they do a search for a specific topic or product. You first want to be sure that you are giving each of your posts a proper title. There are a lot of scammers operating in the search engine optimization world, and if you are not an expert webmaster it can be hard to tell the good guys from the scammers and black-hat SEOs. Here are a few tips to help you avoid the most common rip-off merchants.
Find Your Own SEO Company
Do not, under any circumstances, use an SEO firm that contacts you out of the blue. It doesn’t matter whether they email you or send you a letter in the post, you should not use them. Blanket advertisements are not a hallmark of a good SEO company. After all, if an SEO company were any good, they would rank well in the search results themselves, and have plenty of customers coming their way through Google, wouldn’t they? Spam emails, and letters sent to companies whose addresses they have pulled from domain name registration databases, are marks of a company that is desperate for customers.
Be Wary of Ranking Guarantees
Another thing that no reputable SEO firm will do is promise to get you a specific ranking in a given time frame. If a company promises to get you on the front page for “XYZ keyword” within a certain time, they are making promises that they might not be able to keep. There is absolutely no way to guarantee that you will make it on the front page. Well, no way other than to buy your way into the paid search results, but those results don’t count. Organic search results are fluid. Google’s ranking algorithm is a mystery to everyone other than Google themselves. SEO pros have reverse engineered most of the algorithm, and know enough to understand what Google likes and what they don’t like, but you are competing against other webmasters, and you have no way of knowing what SEO work those webmasters are doing.
A good SEO firm will promise to improve your rankings, and they will try to get you to the front page, but they can only try. Don’t ask your SEO company to guarantee a specific ranking, and don’t trust a company that makes that promise without prompting. Be realistic in your expectations.
Don’t use Black Hat Techniques
Black hat techniques, such as buying links, using automated link building tools, or using networks of blogs set up only for link building, are incredibly dangerous forms of SEO. Google is committed to cleaning up the quality of their search results, and they are clamping down on black hat techniques quite pro-actively. You may get away with some of those techniques today, but when Google catches them your rankings will suffer.
A good SEO firm will help you get sustainable results. SEO is not a one-off effort, and you will need to continue link building and improving your site design. Be consistent and create good content, and the results will come.

If you spend any amount of time dealing with the online MLM Marketing community, then you know how it can sometimes feel like the apocalypse is upon us. Only in the conspiracy-filled corners of the deep web will you be able to find so many rumors of this dying, that being a scam, this company screwing over the little guy, and on and on and on. Today is a good day to focus on the “deaths” though, the methods and principles that apparently are going out of style. Very few of them are as dead as you have been led to believe. These three in particular are still doing very well.
Content Marketing/Article Marketing/Article Syndication
This one has been going strong for a few years now, and pops up with a vengeance every time that Google releases an algorithm update. Gone are the days when quality content would be enough to get you sales, or so the doomsayers would like to believe.
The truth? Well, there are two actually. First, very few Online MLM Marketers actually understand what quality content means. They believe that anything that is in coherent English and at least slightly on topic is good enough. This is wrong. If your content does not either inform, entertain, or persuade a reader to do something that helps them within your niche, then the content is not good enough. Second, Google loves good content more than ever. They change their algorithm monthly to try and reflect this. What they don’t like is you spamming your content across the web (directories, “guest posts” on spam blogs, etc.). Build up your own properties with great content and build backlinks to places worth linking to. The rest WILL take care of itself, just not in 12 milliseconds like the sales letters promised.
SEO
Speaking of backlinks and Googles, let’s talk about good old Search Engine Optimization. If you believe the word on the street, this has been dead since about 2007 or so! Long gone are the days where you could by a domain, set up a squeeze page, blast it with a few thousand links for $5, and profit.
Yes those days are gone, but this is a GOOD thing. Google just cut out all of your “Online MLM Marketer” competition who doesn’t know anything about real work. It is no easier or harder to rank for any key term than it has ever been (search volumes excluded, no one was searching for One Direction merchandise in 2007). How relevant can you be to a key term? How willing are you to craft a website and content around helping solve whatever caused that term to be entered in the first place? That will determine how successful you are with SEO.
There are many other myths out there that need to be dispelled; but these are the two that you must know about right away. Above all remember this: take everything with a grain of salt and test for yourself to figure out what is true. It will get you far.

Not Having Structure To The Post
One of the worst mistakes you can make is not having any structure to your blog post. This will include the MLM bloggers who write the entire post in one paragraph and the bloggers who do not separate ideas into different paragraphs. This is a very simple thing to do and you should take the time you do this.
A lot of bloggers have a problem when they transfer their post from the word processor to their blog. The blog may not pick up the spaces between paragraphs. If this happens you need to work through the post and put the spaces in. There is no reason for you to leave the blog post as one long paragraph with no reprieve for the readers.
When you make this mistake you could find the readership of your MLM blog decrease. Reading one long paragraph is hard on the eyes and it does not look very good. Many readers will also assume that your blog is unprofessional when it has this error.
Not Talking About What Your Readers Are Interested In
A lot of MLM bloggers make the mistake of being too personal with their blogs. While the blog is a way to communicate with people no-one wants to read pages of your problems. You have to make sure that all your posts are related to your blog theme and something that your readers will be interested in.
When you start your blog you should have a theme and key issues that you are looking to tell people about. Your posts should be about these issues and not about the annoying thing that happened to you when you were walking down the road. Of course, if these personal anecdotes lead to your key issues then you can incorporate them, but the post should not be about them.
Doing The Hard Sell
There are many people who use their blogs as a means of making money. When you do this the worst mistake you can make is having a post that is all about the hard sell. The hard sell is basically a blog post that tells people they have to buy some and buy it now.
Most people will go to a blog to see what other people think about a product. When you sell something on your blog you should offer the pros and cons as well as a personal experience. If the viewer wanted the hard sell they could go to a store or look at the product manufacturer’s website.
There are three major mistakes that you should avoid when you are MLM blogging. These will include having no structure to your blog posts, talking about personal problems only and posting a hard sell. These are all ways that you can drive people away from your MLM / Network Marketing blog.

When you finish a gallon of milk, save the empty milk jug and fill it with water. Milk jugs offer handy hand holds making them the perfect thing to use when lifting weights.
To use your new weights, simply fill two milk jugs with water and screw the lids on tightly. Then begin doing a variety of lifting exercises. For example, you can hold the milk jugs and do bicep curls, shoulder lifts and squats.
Another thing that you can use around the house to help you get fit is a kitchen chair. Hold onto the chair and do leg lifts. The chair helps you keep your balance and is the perfect height.
Grab a thick book and use it to help you develop well defined calf muscles. Place the book behind one of your kitchen chairs. Grasp the back of the chair as you step onto the book. Scoot the back of your heels off of the book and gently lower your heels toward the floor. Then raise yourself up as high as you can on your tiptoes. This will stretch and work the front and back of your calf muscles.
Instead of a yoga mat you can use a folded comforter or sleeping bag. This will give you the necessary padding for those floor exercises. When choosing a comforter or sleeping bag, avoid those that have a silky finish because it will make you slide around as you are trying to work out.
Grab your iPod and crank up the tunes! If you do not have an iPod, crank up your stereo. Play upbeat music and begin dancing. Dance is one of the best cardio routines available.
In your bathroom, you can grab a large towel to help stretch and strengthen your back and stomach muscles. Roll the towel until it is easy to grasp. Then, hold each end in your hands. Raise your hands above your head and lean as far as you can to the right and hold for the count of three. Then, stand up straight. Finally, lean as far as you can to the right and hold for another count of three. This exercise will help whittle your waist down.
Many people cannot afford a weight bench and free weights. There are things around your house that you can use in place of fitness equipment. By following the advice listed above, you can begin developing a fitness routine using things around your house. Soon, you will be in shape and feel amazing, thanks to odds and in found around your home.

Being your own boss is attractive at any time, but in the current economy it may seem like the only way to ensure that you’re never out of a job.
Before you start a home business, you should think carefully about your motivations. If you want flexible hours, more free time, or less stress, then you should reconsider your idea. Running a home business is incredibly hard work. In the early days, you are responsible for everything, and that means that you cannot take time off even if you are sick. You must constantly look for new customers, do your book keeping, pay your taxes, and do the day-to-day work as well.
Running a home business is incredibly satisfying, but it is also hard work, and it is not a guaranteed path to riches. When you are an employee, you get paid for the hours you are at work even if there is no work to do. As a business owner, you don’t have that safety net. If you don’t have any work to do, you won’t have any money coming in. Can you cope with that risk?
Of course, there are benefits to running a home business. For one, when things are going well, you get to keep all of the profits. In addition, when you are your own boss, that means you can pick and choose your clients, so if someone annoys them, you don’t have to take work from them. That one luxury can make it a lot easier to stay motivated.
If you do decide to start your own business, choose a field that you love. You are more likely to succeed if you work in a field that you are passionate about. If you do something you love then you will produce high quality work, and your customers will keep coming back time and time again. If you pick a field purely because it is well paid, then you will burn out eventually, and your business will fail.
Remember that during the early days of your business you will be responsible for promotion, fulfilment, finances and every other aspect of running the company. You should look into outsourcing some of those things as soon as possible so that you can focus on the part that you do best. Do not try to do everything for too long, because that will limit your ability to expand your business.
Some people run a home business as a way to earn extra cash on the side. If that is what you want to do, then that is OK. Only you can decide how you want to run your life. Be realistic about your options and your earning potential, and write your business plan accordingly.
